Andreas Göthberg lämnar efter sju år posten som ledare för träningskedjan SATS för att bli koncernchef för OneMed Group, Nordeuropas största partiförsäljare av hälsovårdsprodukter. Pressreleasen från SATS har mer information:

At the end of April, the fitness chain SATS will say goodbye to CEO Andreas Göthberg, and will now begin the search for a successor who can continue to lead the business in a positive direction.

On May 1st Andreas Göthberg will take up the position as CEO at OneMed Group, Northern Europe’s leading distributor of healthcare products to hospitals and care facilities. Tryg i Danmark – owner of SATS – is therefore looking to find a new manager to lead the more than 4,300 SATS employees in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

- Andreas Göthberg has done a great job for SATS Group and it is not surprising that he, after seven years of intensive pace and very good results, will move on. He has taken part in creating a solid foundation for SATS as the leading fitness chain in Scandinavia and beyond, and demonstrated his strengths last year when SATS was taken over by Tryg i Danmark. We will continue to follow SATS’ established strategy in a positive direction, says Lennart Meineche, chairman of the board in SATS and CEO of Tryg i Danmark.

Tryg i Danmark köper Nordens största träningsföretag SATS, med över 200 000 medlemmar fördelat på 100 träningscenter i de nordiska länderna, för 1,6 Mrd SEK. Tryg i Danmark investerar i företag inom hälsa, friskvård och säkerhet och är även huvudägare i försäkringsbolaget Tryg Vesta. Sats omsatte 2005 1,1 miljarder kronor.

SATS Group’s CEO retires after 7 years of progress

With more than 100 fitness centres in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, SATS is the second largest fitness provider in Europe.

SATS’ stated objective is to offer exercise to everybody, close to work and home, and the mission is to help more people to exercise regularly. This strategy will remain essential for SATS, also without Andreas Göthberg behind the wheel:

- Naturally, we intend to follow the direction which is laid out for SATS, and we are already working on finding a successor who can run and further develop SATS in that direction, says Lennart Meineche, chairman of the board in SATS and CEO of Tryg i Denmark.

Andreas Göthberg ends his position with SATS in the middle of March and therefore Dag W. Lee will be appointed acting CEO on March 1st. Since last summer, Dag W. Lee has been deputy CEO of SATS Group and was formerly managing director of SATS Norway and SATS Finland.
